Copyright,Designs and Patents Act 1998

Copyright its a law which is being set up by the government to protect original owners work such as images, photographs, art, CD/DVD etc. from being copied by other people who hasnt got any rights from the owner.

Users who fail fallowing copy right law they might have to attend to court, pay a lot of money or even go to jail . So its important to fallow the Copyright law in order to respect and protect the original owners work.

There is many ways of fallowing correctly copyright law for e.g. if user wants to own copyright metarial he/she might need to contact with original owner to get permission even then the user might not be able to copy fully work so it means they will only be able maybe to copy only part of work such as text, information etc. Some orginal owners might not even want to give permission to other users to use their copyright protected work.

Orginisations such as college, library, schools might not need to get permission from original owner to copy their work which has copy right protected. But some orginasations only may be allowed to copy around 15-20% of the copy right protected work with permission.

If user wants to use images/photographs or create different graphics in softwares such as photoshop, they have to watch out if these graphical files are copy right protected or not. If its copy right protected the user might have to contact with original owner to get permission.

Also when user downloads a image or any files which associates with digital graphics and its copy right protected the user has to include a hyperlink where their file has been downloaded from or original owners details such name and email etc.
