This is a spider diagram of software which shows different types of software which can digital graphics use for adding and editing the pictures and photos.

Canvas Size
|
In Picmonkey you can change the
dimensions of an image by pixels or percent. The max number of pixels that
you can have is 4898 depending on your image.

In Photoshop you can choose different canvas
sizes such as height, width, resolution etc.
|
Saving Options
|
In Picmonkey you can only save the image
as JPEG or PNG but you can then choose the quality (this will also change the
file size e.g. good quality may have a file size of 144KB but poor quality
has a file size of only 126.3KB).

Photoshop can be saved in many different
types of files such as JPEG, PNG, TIFF, BMP etc.

Colour Adjustment
|
You can adjust colour on Picmonkey by just
clicking on a magic wand tool and choose the tool which you want to edit
colour with.

You can adjust picture colour by simply
double click on picture layout on Photo shop and from the drop down menu
choose “satin”.

Filters
|
You can add different filters on your
picture in Picmonkey there is many tools available.
|
Photoshop has many different filters and available
for example click on brush tool in Photoshop menu and choose your colour which
you want.

Cropping
|
In Picmonkey you can set fixed
proportions e.g. Facebook timeline, iPhone screen etc. or you can easily just
drag the comers of the crop to pick your own.

You can crop images on Photoshop using
different crop tools which will zoom in certain areas on the picture which
you want to see only.
|
Image Resolution
|
When saving in Picmonkey you can change
the quality. You have 3 types of quality Roger-not great quality, Pierce-great
quality and Sean-gorgeous quality.

There is a larder variety of resolutions
in Photoshop which you can choose to edit the image also in Photoshop you can
change pixels and picture size.

Text Manipulation
|
You can add text on images on Picmonkey
by clicking on “Tt” tool and it allows user to choose the area, style and
size of the text.
|
You can insert text on Photoshop by
pressing text tool in Photoshop and choosing the area where you want to
include text, you want also customize text.
|
Selecting Objects
|
To select an object just double click on
object.
|
You can select objects by using marquee
tool in Photoshop; you can move images and objects by using only computer
mouse.
